About

A hosting company that has to use its own servers.

We stream live cricket on the same streaming stack we sell you. When it stutters, it is our broadcast that looks bad first. That turns out to be a very effective quality control system.

HostingMaa started because we kept needing infrastructure that nobody would sell us properly. We were producing live sports coverage out of Visakhapatnam and needed streaming servers that could take a shaky 4G feed from a cricket ground and deliver it to a few thousand phones without falling over. What was available was either far too expensive or a bare Ubuntu box and good luck.

So we built it ourselves, and then people started asking whether they could use it too. The hosting business grew out of the broadcast business, which is an unusual order to do it in, but it means the servers were tested against the hardest thing we could throw at them before they were ever sold to anybody.

The software side grew the same way. Tournament organisers needed player registration, then auctions, then live scoring, then scoreboards on the stream. Each one got built because a real event needed it by a real date. Now we build the same class of software for businesses that have nothing to do with sport.

We are a small team and we intend to stay one. It means we can answer the phone ourselves, and it means we say no to work we cannot do well. If your project is genuinely a better fit for someone else, we will tell you that instead of taking the deposit.

What we will not do

Sell "unlimited" storage

Every disk has a size. We publish the real number so you can plan around it.

Hide the renewal price

If the first year is discounted, the renewal is printed next to it on the same row.

Hold your code hostage

When the last phase is paid, the source is yours. Host it anywhere you like.

Disappear after handover

The same numbers work two years later. Somebody who knows your project picks up.
